Katie brings a whole spectrum of unique skills to Mentrau Bach. Her attention to detail, and ability to effectively communicate with all sorts of people means that Katie is an essential part of the delivery of all we do. Her main role is to ensure that all the training courses that we offer are run at a very high quality and exactly meet the clients' needs.
As a very talented outdoor person, Katie brings a strong set of knowledge and experience in First Aid, Training and the Environment to Mentrau Bach.
As a qualified First Aid Trainer delivering OfQual recognised First Aid courses, Katie stays an active practitioner as a Welsh Ambulance Servie Community First Responder, a Casualty Carer on the local Mountain Rescue team, and providing First Responder services to event businesses around the UK. Katie also delivers a range of activities through our activities arm no-mad running.
As a full member of the Mountain Training Association (ML Summer), a WEMSI Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician, a Level 5 Clinical Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist, Level 3 Forest School Practitioner, HSE Commercial Diver and RYA Powerboat Handler, as well as being trained in Canopy Access and Technical Rope Rescue, means that there aren’t many places you shouldn't be surprised to see Katie.
Additionally, Katie holds a first class BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from Plymouth University, and winning an award for being the best performing student across all 3 years of the degree, Katie’s work experience demonstrates academic research knowledge, practical skills, project management, education and training, all focused on the environment.
